Jesus gave us every single thing we need to go out and be confident Christians proclaiming the greatness of God and witnessing to people! We are called to bring them to their eternal home so that when God comes to judge not only will we have the confidence to face the judgment, but when we get to heaven we will see God and He will say, “WELL DONE MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT!”

Christ’s ascension provides a solid foundation and security in our salvation. The ascension ensures that Jesus’ ministry is stamped with God’s seal of approval!

Without the resurrection, our preaching and our Gospel messages, are useless. Not only is our preaching useless, but our faith is useless too! It’s empty! Without the resurrection, you would be placing your faith in something that is not true and a waste of time. People who trust in Jesus would just be deceiving themselves. An empty Gospel only produces empty faith – a faith that cannot save.

Because Jesus died, He destroyed the power of sin and death and He transfers that authority to YOU! So many times we look at sin, we look at our weaknesses, we look at our doubts, we look at our fears, we look at our failures, and we think they will always define us.

If Jesus’s only objective was to forgive you of your sins so that you can go to heaven, He would not have spent 33 years on this earth! He would have immediately came down, died on the cross, resurrected, and immediately went to heaven!

The Gospel accounts of the death of Jesus in the trial of Jesus, and the Bible says that Jesus remained silent even though he was falsely accused. People hurled insults at him, cried out for his death, and cheered for the release of Barabbas over the innocent Jesus…

The power of the devil has been broken and because of Jesus and his sacrifice, not only have our sins been taken away, but now we have a merciful and faithful high priest that is standing before God on our behalf helping us when we are going through testings!

As Christians, we believe that everything that exists traces its existence to God. He is the Maker of Heaven and Earth. Not only is he the maker, he’s also the sustainer of all that is, all that ever was, and all that will ever be!
